I am originally from Japan. From as far back as I can remember, I have had a pen and paper in my hand. Art and design is an incredibly important part of who I am.
I completed my formal design studies in Japan - Graphic Design, Metal, Jewellery Craft, Industrial Design as well as Product Packaging and Model Making. While I was in college I had a very unique opportunity to learn an authentic traditional craft from the famous Japanese bamboo craft artist Chikuunsai Tanabe. I worked with materials such as bamboo and wood lacquer.
Since starting work as a Graphic Designer, I have developed a wide range of illustrative and design skills. By using mainly Photoshop and Illustrator, I can create exceptionally high quality work from traditional style paintings to digital pieces. The portraits I produce have a high degree of realism and a sense of atmosphere and I always try to capture the models character in each piece.
I have extensive knowledge in print and packaging design and my skills in industrial design allow me to produce very unique work. My indepth knowledge of model making and print result in an exceptionally high quality finish on every job I take on from start to finish.
